Revolutionary forces conducted a drone strike on a police outpost occupied by military council troops in Kamma town, Magway Region, resulting in casualties among military council forces, according to Daung Ni, a representative of the RED GIANT group. The attack, which took place on August 26, involved two separate drone strikes on the police outpost where military council forces had established a position. While the exact number of casualties on the military council side could not be immediately confirmed, revolutionary forces were able to successfully withdraw from the operation without any injuries.
According to Daung Ni from RED GIANT, approximately six military council personnel were stationed at the police outpost gate, with around 40 personnel inside the station compound. The strikes reportedly hit near the bunker areas, likely causing casualties among military council forces, though the exact numbers are still being verified. This coordinated attack was carried out through the joint efforts of RED GIANT, Alintan Guerrilla Force (Myaing), and Galon Guerrilla Force.
Simultaneously, another attack occurred in Monywa city, Sagaing Region. On August 25, revolutionary forces launched a hand grenade attack targeting military council soldiers and police personnel who were visiting a gin bar in Ward 10 of Shwebo town, as reported by the Shwebo Township People’s Defense Force. While the extent of casualties among military council forces in this attack also remains unconfirmed, the revolutionary forces were able to safely retreat from the operation without any casualties.
The attack in Monywa was jointly conducted by the Shwebo Township People’s Security Force, Shwebo Crocodile, and the Bo Lin Yaung People’s Defense Force. These attacks demonstrate the continued pressure being applied by revolutionary forces against the military council, showing that resistance activities persist even in areas under military council control. The successful execution of these operations in different regions indicates the growing capabilities and coordination among various revolutionary groups in their ongoing struggle against the military council’s forces.
