
Near Allakappa village in Myinmu Township, Sagaing Region, resistance forces from the Bo Tiger Group conducted a mine attack on a military patrol, resulting in the death of two soldiers. The incident occurred around 11 PM on May 22, when a military column of approximately 20 personnel was patrolling from Myaung junction towards Allakappa village. The resistance forces attacked the patrol with three mines when they reached the southern part of Allakappa village, killing two soldiers and wounding three others. After the attack, although the military conducted search operations, the resistance forces were able to withdraw successfully after deploying defensive mines.
In Magway Region’s Salin Township, revolutionary forces launched an artillery attack on a stationed police outpost in the Linzin sub-township area. The attack took place at approximately 1:50 PM on May 22, during which resistance forces fired twelve 60mm artillery rounds at the outpost. While there were reported casualties on the military side, the exact numbers could not be confirmed. The resistance forces were able to retreat safely without any casualties. The operation was jointly carried out by the People’s Defense Force, Minbu District Battalion-5, Salin PDF, and the Daung Nyi Naung guerrilla group.
The military had approximately fifty personnel stationed at the attacked location. Local resistance leaders have advised civilians in the area to remain vigilant about the danger of airstrikes and to seek safe shelter. The situation requires special caution from local residents due to concerns about potential military retaliation following these attacks. The coordinated attacks demonstrate the continued resistance operations against military targets in various regions of Myanmar, with resistance forces maintaining their tactical capabilities while prioritizing civilian safety in their operations.
