Revolutionary forces conducted an attack on Pyu Saw Htee members who were climbing toddy palm trees in Sauk Kan area of Myaing Township, Magway Region. The attack, which took place on September 17, was jointly carried out by multiple resistance groups including the TYK guerrilla force, Myaing PDF Battalions 1 and 2, Galon Daung Man group, Thingyan Regional Defense Force, Anyar Region Allied Forces, PLC Daung Nyi Naung group, and Mone Taing group (Nyaung Pin Out). This information was confirmed to Yangon Modern News Agency by Comrade Saw Gyi from the TYK guerrilla force.
During the incident, resistance forces approached within 50 meters of the village while Pyu Saw Htee members were climbing toddy palm trees in Sauk Kan Pyu Saw Htee village. When the attack began, the Pyu Saw Htee members took shelter in their bunkers, leading to an exchange of fire between both sides. While some Pyu Saw Htee casualties were reported during the battle, the exact number could not be confirmed according to resistance force members.
Following the attack, all revolutionary forces successfully withdrew from the area without suffering any casualties. Resistance forces have been regularly conducting operations against Pyu Saw Htee groups in this region who collaborate with the military council. The resistance members stated they will continue to target activities that threaten the security of local civilians and impede revolutionary operations in the area. This operation demonstrates the ongoing efforts of resistance forces to combat military-affiliated groups while maintaining their commitment to protecting civilian populations in the region.
