On July 21, revolutionary forces conducted an attack on the township police station in Yetarshay, Bago Region, resulting in injuries among military council troops. The attack was carried out at approximately 4:20 AM by the Black Leopard revolutionary force, which launched 14 40mm mortar rounds using a 79-type weapon system, according to battle reports. The operation specifically targeted the police station, which is located in a complex that also houses the military council’s Union Solidarity and Development Party office and the Election Commission office.
The 31 Revolutionary Force provided support in terms of weapons, ammunition, and personnel for the operation. A spokesperson from the force confirmed that the police station was targeted due to its strategic location alongside the military council’s administrative buildings. While casualties were reported among military council troops, the exact number of injuries could not be immediately verified. The spokesperson emphasized that the attack was part of ongoing efforts to disrupt the military council’s administrative mechanisms in the area.
Following the attack, the revolutionary forces successfully withdrew from the area without sustaining any casualties. The force’s representative urged civilians to maintain a safe distance from military council troops and called on those currently serving under the military council to defect and join the people’s side as soon as possible. The attack represents one of many coordinated efforts by revolutionary forces to target the military council’s administrative and security infrastructure throughout the country. The successful operation demonstrates the continuing capability of resistance forces to conduct military operations against strategic targets controlled by the military council.
