Revolutionary forces have launched an attack on the military’s Advanced Training School No. 13 in Sagaing Region’s Thabeikkyin Township using ten rockets. The attack took place around noon on August 20, targeting the training facility located at the 7-mile point in Thabeikkyin. According to reports, nine of the ten rockets successfully hit their intended targets within the military installation. The extent of casualties and damage inflicted on the military forces is currently being investigated.
The Advanced Training School No. 13 serves as a crucial military training facility within the Mandalay Regional Military Command’s territory. The institution is responsible for training military personnel to lead platoon, company, and battalion-level operations and develop combat capabilities. The facility also functions as a key military base for operations targeting Thabeikkyin and Mogok areas, which made it a strategic target for the revolutionary forces. The attack was specifically aimed at disrupting the military’s training and operational capabilities in the region.
The operation was carried out under the leadership of the Brave Warriors for Myanmar (BWM), with collaboration from several revolutionary groups including Shadow (Central), No More Dictatorship People’s Defense Force (NMD-PDF), and Infinity (Central). The Mandalay Division Artillery Force and local revolutionary groups also provided support for the operation. As the revolutionary front intensifies, these forces and their allies have strongly opposed the illegal military council’s attempts to hold what they consider an illegitimate election. The revolutionary groups have called upon the public to peacefully resist the military council’s electoral efforts from all angles, emphasizing the importance of achieving success in the Spring Revolution as quickly as possible.
