A spokesperson from the Chindwin Toe Na Yar PDF has confirmed that their forces, along with other resistance groups, successfully carried out an attack against a military council column in Pale Township, Sagaing Region. The operation, which took place on the morning of September 9, targeted approximately 70 military council troops who had departed from Kukkokone village. The resistance forces employed six landmines and small arms in their coordinated assault against the military column.
The operation was jointly conducted by members of Battalion 29’s Company 2 Ground Force and Company 4 from the Yinmabin District, working in collaboration with Chindwin Toe Na Yar PDF forces. While casualties were reported among the military council troops, the exact number could not be immediately verified. The resistance forces successfully withdrew from the engagement without suffering any casualties or injuries, demonstrating the effectiveness of their tactical approach.
The Chindwin Toe Na Yar PDF has issued a statement urging local civilians to avoid areas where military council columns are known to operate and to strictly follow the safety advisories issued by revolutionary forces. This warning comes as the military council continues its campaign of violence against civilian populations in the region, making it crucial for residents to remain vigilant and prioritize their safety. The resistance forces emphasized the importance of civilian compliance with these security measures to prevent any potential harm during ongoing military operations in the area.
