
A spokesperson from the Brave Heart Army-BHA confirmed that four military council soldiers were killed and weapons were seized during a clash in Chaung-U city, Sagaing Region, on July 23 at 5:30 AM. The battle occurred near the Irrigation Office along the Monywa-Mandalay road, when revolutionary forces ambushed military council troops who were conducting patrol operations on two motorcycles.
During the operation, revolutionary forces seized various military equipment including two motorcycles, one MA-3 rifle, three MA-11 rifles, three hand grenades, two mobile phones, and over 400 rounds of 5.56 ammunition, along with the bodies of the four deceased soldiers. The revolutionary forces reported no casualties on their side during the engagement. The operation was jointly conducted by the Brave Heart Army-BHA and the People’s Defense Force Chaung-U Township Combat Unit No. 1.
Such encounters are part of the ongoing revolutionary movement across Myanmar, where people’s defense forces are fighting to end the military dictatorship. Sagaing Region remains one of the strongest areas of revolutionary activity, with frequent clashes between resistance forces and military council troops. This successful operation demonstrates the continuing effectiveness of coordinated actions between various revolutionary groups in their struggle against the military council’s forces.
