People’s Defense Forces are conducting daily attacks on the military council’s supply convoy near Kamma town in Pakokku Township, Magway Region. During the clashes, resistance forces seized one damaged excavator hit by mines, and two military council soldiers have defected to the revolutionary forces, according to an official from the Kamma Region Revolutionary Alliance.
The military council’s supply convoy, which departed from Pakokku Division 101 on May 31, consists of more than 120 vehicles and approximately 1,000 troops led by a deputy division commander. Revolutionary allied forces have been consistently engaging the convoy with high-powered mines and guerrilla attacks. Currently, the military council’s supply convoy remains near Kamma town while revolutionary forces continue their blocking and offensive operations.
On June 24 and 25, two soldiers from the military council defected to the revolutionary forces, and the resistance forces captured an excavator that was damaged during the military council’s mine-clearing operations. Additionally, the military council has killed three civilians after arrest and continues to hold 15 civilians as human shields. The military council has also conducted airstrikes on civilian villages, religious buildings, and internally displaced persons, resulting in the death of four innocent civilians, according to the alliance’s statement.
The military council’s supply convoy is being jointly attacked by the Kamma Alliance, Myaing PDF, Pauk PDF, Pakokku District Battalions, Column 8, and local allied forces. The battles are ongoing, with casualties reported on the military council’s side, as confirmed by an alliance official. The official stated that detailed battle reports would be released subsequently.
