
Revolutionary forces successfully launched attacks on military council positions in Salingyi town, Sagaing Region, targeting a police station and administrative office where junta troops were stationed. According to the leader of the Chindwin Dynamite People’s Defense Force, the attack was carried out using heavy weapons on March 7 at around 10 AM. The operation targeted approximately 80 military council troops using 60mm and 80mm heavy weapons.
During the attack, while the military council forces responded with small arms fire, the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw successfully without any casualties. Reports indicate that the military council suffered casualties and explosions occurred within their compound. The coordinated attack was jointly carried out by the Chindwin Dynamite group, Yinmabin District Battalion, Red Wing Special Guerrilla Force, and other revolutionary groups.
Additionally, resistance forces conducted a mine attack against military council troops who were returning from patrol duties on the Monywa-Mandalay road in Monywa Township, resulting in multiple military casualties. The attack occurred on the evening of March 7, targeting 23 military council soldiers who were transporting weapons and ammunition to the Myapyugyi checkpoint. The operation was carried out using five-point-one Padamya mines and was a joint effort by Chaung-U Township PDF, Special Forces 11, and Monywa Dynamite Strike Force. The exact number of military casualties is still being verified according to resistance sources.
