Revolutionary forces successfully launched attacks on military council positions in Salingyi town, Sagaing Region, targeting a police station and administrative office where junta forces were stationed. According to the leader of the Chindwin Dynamite People’s Defense Force, the attack was carried out using heavy weapons on March 7 at around 10 AM. The targeted locations housed approximately 80 military council troops, and the resistance forces employed 60mm and 80mm heavy weapons in their offensive operation.
During the engagement, while the military council forces responded with small arms fire, the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw successfully without sustaining any casualties. The coordinated attack was jointly conducted by multiple resistance groups, including the Chindwin Dynamite group, Yinmabin District Battalion, Red Wing Special Guerrilla Force, and other allied revolutionary units. The operation demonstrated the growing capabilities and coordination among resistance forces in the region.
Simultaneously, resistance forces conducted a separate operation on the Monywa-Mandalay road in Sagaing Region, successfully ambushing military council infantry troops returning from patrol duties. The resistance forces employed landmines in this attack, resulting in military casualties. The operation targeted a group of 23 military council soldiers who were returning after escorting a weapons and ammunition shipment to the Myapyugyi checkpoint. The resistance forces used five Padamya-type mines in the attack, though the exact number of casualties is still being verified. This coordinated action was carried out through collaboration between various resistance groups, including local PDF units and special forces teams, highlighting the increasing effectiveness of resistance operations against military council forces in the region.
