Revolutionary forces successfully launched attacks on military council positions at the police station and administrative office in Salingyi town, Sagaing Region, using heavy weapons, as confirmed by the leader of the Chindwin Dynamite People’s Defense Force. The attack, which occurred around 10 AM on March 7, targeted approximately 80 military council troops using 60mm and 80mm heavy weapons. The coordinated assault was carried out by multiple resistance groups including the Chindwin Dynamite group, Yinmabin District Battalion, Red Wing Special Guerrilla Force, and other revolutionary units.
While the military council forces suffered casualties in the attack, the exact numbers are still being investigated. Although the military council troops returned fire with small arms, the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw successfully without any casualties. The resistance groups demonstrated effective coordination in their offensive operation against the military council’s fortified positions in the town center. The attack represents a significant operation against military council forces in the Salingyi area.
Simultaneously, resistance forces conducted a successful mine attack against military council troops returning from patrol operations on the Monywa-Mandalay road. On the evening of March 7, revolutionary forces targeted 23 military council soldiers who were transporting weapons and ammunition to the Myapyugyi checkpoint, using five-point-one Padestha mines. The attack resulted in multiple military casualties, though the exact numbers are still being verified. This operation was jointly carried out by Chaung-U Township PDF forces, Special Forces units, and the Monywa Dynamite team. The coordinated attacks demonstrate the growing capabilities of resistance forces in conducting simultaneous operations against military council targets in the region.
