Revolutionary forces successfully launched attacks on military council positions in Salingyi town, Sagaing Region, targeting a police station and administrative office where junta forces were stationed. According to the leader of the Chindwin Dynamite People’s Defense Force, the attack was carried out using heavy weapons on March 7 at around 10 AM. The targeted locations housed approximately 80 military council troops, and the resistance forces employed 60mm and 80mm weapons in their offensive operation.
Although the military council forces responded with small arms fire, the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw safely without any casualties. The coordinated attack was jointly conducted by multiple resistance groups, including the Chindwin Dynamite group, Yinmabin District Battalion, Red Wing Special Guerrilla Force, and other allied forces. The operation demonstrated the growing capabilities of resistance forces in conducting coordinated attacks against military installations.
In a separate incident on the same day, resistance forces successfully ambushed a group of military council infantry troops returning from patrol duties on the Monywa-Mandalay road. The attack resulted in military casualties, though exact numbers are still being verified. Later that evening, another operation targeted 23 military council soldiers who were providing security for a convoy transporting weapons and ammunition to Myapyugyi checkpoint. The resistance forces used explosive devices in this attack, continuing their campaign of disrupting military council operations in the region.
