
Revolutionary forces successfully launched attacks on military council positions in Salingyi town, Sagaing Region, targeting a police station and administrative office where junta troops were stationed. According to the leader of the Chindwin Dynamite People’s Defense Force, the attack was carried out using heavy weapons on March 7 at around 10 AM. The targeted locations housed approximately 80 military council troops, and the resistance forces employed 60mm and 80mm heavy weapons in their offensive operation.
Although the military council forces responded with small arms fire, the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw safely without any casualties. The coordinated attack was jointly conducted by the Chindwin Dynamite group, Yinmabin District Battalion, and the Red Wing Special Guerrilla Force, utilizing 25 heavy weapon rounds. The resistance forces confirmed successful hits on their targets, though the exact casualties on the military council side are still being verified.
In a separate operation, resistance forces successfully ambushed military council troops returning from patrol duty along the Monywa-Mandalay road. The incident occurred on the evening of March 7, when 23 military personnel who were providing security for a convoy transporting weapons and ammunition to the Myapyugyi checkpoint from the Northwest Military Command in Monywa were targeted. The resistance forces employed Padamya mines in the attack, resulting in confirmed casualties among the military council troops, though the exact numbers are still being investigated. This operation was carried out through coordination between various resistance groups including the Chaung-U Township PDF, Special Forces 11-LPDF, and Monywa Dynamite (STF).
