
A representative from the North Okkalapa People’s Defense Force has confirmed that revolutionary forces launched a grenade attack on the township hall occupied by military council troops in North Okkalapa Township, Yangon. The attack occurred around 10:15 PM on June 18th and was carried out in response to military council troop activities in the North Okkalapa area. While the number of military council casualties could not be confirmed, the revolutionary forces were able to successfully withdraw from the area without any injuries.
The North Okkalapa People’s Defense Force spokesperson stated that they will continue to conduct operations against military council troops in Yangon, warning local residents to remain vigilant and avoid areas where military council troops are stationed and their movement patterns. Similarly, another attack took place in Shwepyithar Township, where members of THE BLOODLINE group targeted the township police station with two hand grenades.
The attack in Shwepyithar Township occurred around 8:00 PM on June 18th. While the extent of military council casualties could not be confirmed, THE BLOODLINE group reported that their forces were able to safely withdraw from the area after the operation. The group has also issued warnings to local residents to avoid areas where military council troops are stationed and to be cautious of their movements in the area. These coordinated attacks demonstrate the ongoing resistance activities against military council positions in Yangon’s suburban townships.
