
The Black Eagle People’s Defense Force has confirmed an attack on a joint military-police station in Pale Town, Sagaing Region, according to a statement from Comrade Sayar Pe, a responsible official from the force. The attack occurred at 3:30 PM on May 29, with revolutionary forces using RPG weapons to target the town’s police station. The military council forces had established positions not only at the police station but also at the General Administration Office and the Municipal Office. During the attack, both sides engaged in an exchange of fire that lasted approximately 10 minutes.
According to Comrade Sayar Pe, the revolutionary forces suffered no casualties during the engagement, while the military council forces likely sustained minimal damage. Currently, the military council maintains approximately 50 troops at the General Administration Office and 40 personnel inside the police station, with their movements restricted to within the town limits. In Pale Township, the military council forces only maintain positions in Pale Town, Inmathi Pyusawthi Village, Ziphyukone Pyusawthi Village, and Kandaw Village. People’s Defense Forces control over 80 percent of the township, according to responsible officials.
