
The People’s Defense Force (PDF) spokesperson Ko Phyo Maung has confirmed that revolutionary forces successfully attacked the central guard post and bachelor quarters of Artillery Battalion 310 based in Theinzayat town, Mon State, resulting in the death of two military council soldiers. The attack, which occurred around 11 PM on February 24, was carried out using shock strike drones. In addition to the two fatalities, several other military council personnel were reported injured. The revolutionary forces were able to withdraw safely without any casualties after completing their mission.
The injured military council soldiers were transported to hospitals in Bago and Mawlamyine for medical treatment. Sources indicate that the military council has threatened local funeral service organizations to prevent information leaks regarding the burial of the deceased soldiers. According to Ko Phyo Maung, the Bago District PDF coordinator, two artillery expert instructors were among those killed in the attack. The full extent of the damage inflicted during the operation is still being assessed. The successful operation demonstrated the growing capabilities of resistance forces in conducting coordinated attacks against military targets.
The operation was jointly carried out by multiple revolutionary forces, including the Bago District PDF, which led the mission, along with the Urban Defense Force (UDF), Waw Township PDF, and Kawa Township PDF artillery units. This attack targeted a significant military installation of the council forces, showcasing the resistance forces’ ability to conduct complex operations through effective coordination and tactical planning. The successful execution of this mission represents a significant achievement for the revolutionary forces in their ongoing struggle against the military council, demonstrating their increasing operational effectiveness and coordination capabilities among different resistance groups.
