On July 9th, the six soldiers, who were part of the security detail for Wanbao copper mining trucks, brought with them 2 small arms, 300 rounds of ammunition, 2 hand grenades, 8 ammunition magazines, 2 sets of bulletproof vests, and 1 landmine when they defected.
Currently, the terrorist military council has lost control over most areas of the country and can no longer effectively protect foreign investments, including those from China. In this situation, the National Unity Government, People’s Defense Forces, and local PDF groups have taken responsibility for ensuring the security of civilians and maintaining stability for foreign investments in the country. These developments demonstrate the continuing erosion of the military council’s authority and the growing strength of resistance forces working to protect the people’s interests.
