
On September 4th, in the morning hours, People’s Defense Forces and revolutionary alliance forces conducted an operation against the Pyu Saw Htee group in Tat Won village, Natmauk Township, Magway Region, resulting in the death of five members including their leader Bo Htun, and the seizure of various weapons and ammunition. The clash began at approximately 5:10 AM and lasted for about 40 minutes.
The operation was led by the Plains Guerrilla Unit of the 3rd Nga Pyae Ma Battalion of Salay District, with the cooperation of Yenangyaung PDF, Minbu District Military Command Public Security Forces, Chauk Revolutionary Army (CRA), and Daung Sit Thone Guerrilla Forces. During the engagement, significant amounts of weapons and ammunition were seized from the Pyu Saw Htee group. The seized items included one Point 22 handmade pistol, five M1 carbine rifles, 95 carbine rounds, two smooth-bore rifles, 30 smooth-bore ammunition rounds, and two hand grenades.
Additionally, the forces recovered 100,000 kyats in cash, military uniforms and equipment, four mobile phones, and a military service book, as confirmed by an official from the Nga Pyae Ma Guerrilla Force. During the operation, one vehicle belonging to the Pyu Saw Htee group was also destroyed. This engagement has been noted as a significant development for regional security and is considered an important success for the safety of local civilians, according to force members.
