
On April 29, the Shwe Yay Kyun People’s Strike Column conducted a protest march against the military dictatorship in Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region. The Shwe Yay Kyun People’s Strike Column, which continues to carry out anti-military dictatorship activities within Yinmabin Township, remains active with the support of local residents. The march was organized to oppose the military coup and demand democracy, human rights, and the establishment of a federal union.
The Shwe Yay Kyun People’s Strike Column continues to conduct regular activities against the military dictatorship, aiming to protect the rights of local civilians and work towards the end of military rule. The protesters highlighted various issues faced by people under military administration, including human rights violations, arbitrary arrests and detentions, economic hardships, and security concerns. The movement maintains its presence despite the ongoing challenges posed by the military council.
While anti-military dictatorship activities continue within Yinmabin Township, civilians remain united in their struggle for democracy despite facing oppression, threats, and violence from the military council. The anti-military dictatorship movement includes participation from youth, civil society organizations, and local residents, who also support the National Unity Government (NUG) and People’s Defense Forces. The demonstration reflects the ongoing resistance against military rule and the people’s determination to achieve democratic reform in Myanmar.
