
Police officers were injured in a remote-controlled mine attack that occurred at the Shwepyithar Township Police Station in Yangon Region on the evening of March 3, according to the Information Officer of Operation Flame. The attack took place at approximately 7:30 PM, targeting the main gate of the township police station’s commanding officer’s office.
The attack involved the use of two remote-controlled mines that were detonated in close proximity to the main gate. Security personnel on duty at the gate and police dogs involved in security operations were reportedly injured in the blast. Operation Flame stated that the exact number of casualties and detailed information about the incident are still under investigation.
The operation was led and coordinated by Operation Flame (OF), and all revolutionary forces involved in the attack successfully withdrew to safety after the operation. Operation Flame has also announced their commitment to continue fighting against the violent military forces in collaboration with revolutionary allies in the Yangon Region, pledging to intensify their operations in the future.
