The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) celebrated its 4th anniversary of formation with a ceremony held in a liberated area on March 15. The event began with the proud raising of the PLA flag, followed by a salute to both the Communist Party of Burma flag and the PLA flag by officers and soldiers. A gun salute was performed to honor the fallen comrades who sacrificed their lives for the revolutionary cause.
The second part of the ceremony included the collective singing of the People’s Army anthem and a military parade by various battalions and units, culminating in a march-past salute to the Commander-in-Chief of the People’s Liberation Army. The leaders then delivered speeches reflecting on the PLA’s experiences, victories, and challenges over the past four years, while also providing guidance on the revolutionary path ahead. The speeches included comprehensive reviews of battle experiences, achievements, and the strategic direction for continuing the struggle for the people’s cause.
The People’s Liberation Army stands as a military force fighting for the freedom, justice, and democracy of the Myanmar people, established with the aim of ending the military dictatorship and establishing people’s power.
