The demonstration called for opposition to the military dictatorship, democracy, human rights, and justice. The People’s Force Strike Column is an organization that has been continuously carrying out activities opposing the military coup. It is a group fighting for the end of the military dictatorship and the restoration of democracy. Today’s protest was aimed at exposing to the world the oppression and human rights violations that people are suffering under the military dictatorship, and to amplify the voice of the people.
During the protest, demonstrators demanded an end to forced military service under the military dictatorship, human rights violations committed by the military, unlawful arrests and detentions, torture, and violence. They also called for the return of a democratically elected government and the release of all political prisoners who have been detained. The protest highlighted the ongoing struggle of Myanmar’s people against military rule and their continued resistance against oppression and injustice under the current regime.
