On July 31, the People’s Force Strike Column and the Multi-Village Strike Committee members joined forces to hold a protest demonstration against the military dictatorship in Yangon. The protesters peacefully marched while carrying banners with slogans calling for the opposition to military dictatorship, complete elimination of the military regime, and the flourishing of democracy.
During the protest, participants voiced their concerns about the human rights violations, economic decline, and deterioration of education and healthcare systems that civilians are experiencing under military rule. They also condemned the military regime’s oppression that has resulted in civilian casualties, arbitrary arrests and detentions, and forced displacement of people from their homes.
The People’s Force Strike Column and Multi-Village Strike Column play crucial roles in Myanmar people’s struggle for democracy, and they have pledged to continue their united fight until the end of the military dictatorship. The protesters also expressed their commitment to collaborate with other democratic forces in their ongoing struggle against the military regime.
