The leader of the People’s Star Force, Colonel Mike Khae, has confirmed that their forces successfully attacked a military council outpost in Kyaukpyut village, Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, resulting in one military soldier’s death and seven others injured. The attack took place around 9 PM on April 9th, targeting a military outpost manned by approximately thirty soldiers. Following the attack, the remaining military personnel abandoned the outpost and fled the area.
The joint operation involved several resistance forces, including the People’s Star Force, Mandalay Regional Battalion, MGN Danger Dynamites, Dawn Messenger Force, Anyar Federal Task Force, Federal Force, and People’s Defense Force (PDF). The resistance forces successfully withdrew from the area after the operation without suffering any casualties. The operation demonstrates the continuing efforts of resistance forces in their fight against the military regime.
According to Colonel Mike Khae, while the operation was successful in terms of forcing the military to abandon their position, the resistance forces were unable to capture any weapons or military equipment during the raid. Due to the nighttime conditions, they also decided not to burn down the outpost. The seven injured military personnel were reportedly taken to a hospital for treatment. This attack represents another operation in the ongoing struggle by people’s defense forces to dismantle the military dictatorship system in Myanmar.
