
A military council soldier was killed when the People’s Defense Force attacked a military column that was stealing civilian property in Pazunmyaung village, Yetashay Township, Bago Region, according to an official from the Mi Nagar column. The attack occurred at 7:45 AM on May 28, during which two other military council soldiers were also wounded.
The military council troops had deployed approximately 70 personnel split across four locations within Pazunmyaung village, where they were engaged in destroying and selling civilian homes and looting property from houses. The People’s Defense Force members conducted an ambush attack while the soldiers were in the act of stealing civilian property. The Mi Nagar column official revealed that the military council soldiers were removing and selling roof tiles and fixtures from houses, as well as stealing household items.
During the attack, a group of 10 to 15 military council soldiers had ventured out to steal civilian property. The operation was carried out by the Mi Nagar members of the People’s Defense Force Battalion P23703. The People’s Defense Force members successfully withdrew from the area without suffering any casualties, according to confirmed reports.
