
On July 4, the people of Kalay city in Sagaing Region conducted a public movement called ‘Unfurled Flag, Unsilenced Voice’ under the leadership of the Kalay Public Strike Leading Committee and the Civil Education Strike Column. This movement represents the unity of people in their opposition to the military dictatorship and their struggle for democracy.
Participants in the public movement carried National Unity Government (NUG) flags and anti-dictatorship banners. Kalay, an important city in Sagaing Region, has been actively involved in the people’s revolution since the military coup. This movement demonstrates the courage and unity of the people despite the military group’s oppression.
The Kalay Public Strike Leading Committee and Civil Education Strike Column, together with city residents, conducted peaceful demonstrations demanding the end of the military dictatorship and the emergence of a federal democratic system. The participants showed their determination not to continue living under military dictatorship and their commitment to continue fighting for democracy.
