A senior official from the Bagan People’s Force has confirmed that more than 70 military council troops were killed when resistance forces surrounded and attacked a military column that had entered Nga Tharauk sub-township in Mandalay Region. The entire military column was reportedly destroyed in the battle, and resistance forces seized weapons and ammunition alongside the bodies of the fallen soldiers.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that the military council leader Min Aung Hlaing has awarded first-class technology excellence awards to Colonel Myat Min Oo, who played a crucial role in supporting the military council’s coup by fabricating claims about the 2020 election results. Colonel Myat Min Oo was responsible for announcing false allegations of electoral fraud, which were used as the primary justification for the military takeover. These claims of electoral irregularities were instrumental in the military council’s narrative leading up to their seizure of power.
