Revolutionary allied forces successfully encircled and eliminated a military council column in Nga Tharauk Sub-township of Mandalay Region, resulting in over 70 military council troops being killed, according to a senior official from the Bagan People’s Force. The entire military column was destroyed in the operation, and the revolutionary forces seized weapons and ammunition from the deceased soldiers. The battle demonstrates the growing capabilities of resistance forces in confronting military council operations in the region.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that the military council leader Min Aung Hlaing has awarded first-class technology excellence awards to Colonel Myat Min Oo, who had previously helped fabricate claims of electoral fraud in the 2020 general election to justify the military’s power grab. Colonel Myat Min Oo played a key role in spreading disinformation about alleged irregularities in the election results, which the military council used as a pretext for their illegal coup. This award ceremony appears to be a recognition of those who assisted in the military’s unconstitutional seizure of power.
