
Revolutionary allied forces successfully encircled and eliminated a military council column in Nga Tharauk Sub-township of Mandalay Region, resulting in over 70 military council troops being killed, according to an official from the Bagan People’s Force. The entire military column was destroyed in the battle, and weapons and ammunition were seized from the deceased soldiers. The revolutionary forces achieved this success by effectively surrounding and attacking the military council troops.
Meanwhile, military council leader Senior General Min Aung Hlaing has awarded first-class technology excellence awards to Colonel Myat Min Oo, who had supported the military’s claims of electoral fraud in the 2020 general election – allegations that were used to justify the coup. Colonel Myat Min Oo had endorsed the military council’s accusations of election irregularities and played a supporting role in the coup.
In Pathein City, Ayeyarwady Region, a man armed with two pairs of scissors attacked the Township Police Station, resulting in injuries to four police officers, including Police Station Chief Kyaw Zay Latt. The attacker also sustained gunshot wounds during the incident. The attack occurred in the morning hours, and all injured parties have been taken to the hospital for treatment. Authorities are conducting detailed investigations into the incident. The injured police officers and the attacker are currently receiving medical care, and further details about the motivation behind the attack are being investigated.
