CDF-KKG Chairman Salai Za Bwe Thong announced that more than 50 military council soldiers were killed and large quantities of weapons and ammunition were seized during the capture of five military and Pyu Saw Htee camps in southern Kalay, Sagaing Region. This information was revealed during a press conference about CDF-KKG Major Operations held on April 21, jointly organized by CNF/CAN and CDF-KKG.
According to Salai Za Bwe Thong, 15 bodies were found at Kanparni camp, another 15 at Mantha and Aung Thar Yar, and more than 15 at Kya Tha, totaling over 50 military council casualties. The military council conducted more than 1,000 airstrikes during the battles in southern Kalay, resulting in 15 civilian deaths and over 40 injuries.
The CDF-KKG Major Operations involves collaboration among 12 allied groups, with the goal of completely removing the military council from Chin State by 2025. CND/CAN spokesperson Salai Htet Ni explained that preparations are underway to achieve this objective. He emphasized that revolutionary forces have a responsibility to defend against military council airstrikes and stressed the importance of obtaining early intelligence about aerial attacks, particularly since aircraft operate from mainland bases, requiring coordinated intelligence gathering efforts.
The CDF-KKG Chairman confirmed that preparations have been made to defend against military council airstrikes, including the establishment of mobile teams to provide public awareness and training on air defense measures. This successful operation demonstrates the capabilities and cooperation of revolutionary forces, marking significant progress in the resistance against the military council. The revolutionary forces assess this as a notable advancement in their efforts to oppose the military council’s control over the region.
