
The spokesperson for the Yesagyo Allied Forces, ZPK, confirmed that more than 20 military council troops were killed during two consecutive days of interceptive attacks against a military column that had burned down the entire Balaba village in Yesagyo Township, Magway Region. On April 20, military columns from Pakokku town and Yesagyo combined forces, totaling over 250 personnel, and began advancing into Kyuvillage area of Yesagyo Township starting at 4 AM.
Around 9 AM, as the military council column advanced from Kyu village toward Balaba village, they engaged in a 20-minute battle with members of the Yesagyo Allied Forces. After the clash, the military council troops retreated to Kyu village, but emerged again around 12:30 PM, leading to another battle before retreating back to Kyu village. The following day, on April 21, the military council forces stationed in Kyu village launched another major offensive toward Balaba village, resulting in a two-hour battle with the Yesagyo Allied Forces and their allied groups.
During this engagement, more than 20 military council troops were killed and over 30 were wounded. The bodies of the deceased military council soldiers were reportedly transported back to Pakokku using three-wheeled motorcycles. The military operation involved joint forces including the Yesagyo Allied Forces, Pakokku District Battalions (2,3,10), Yesagyo Township People’s Security Force, Pakokku Township People’s Defense Force, Yesagyo Township People’s Defense Force, Gamma Allied Forces, Border Guard People’s Defense Force, Mother’s Army Guerrilla Force, Daung Brothers, and Wolf Brothers Burma Revolution Ranger. In the battle, one member of the Yesagyo Allied Forces was martyred and three others were wounded. The military council forces completely burned down Balaba village before withdrawing on April 22.
