According to Ko Nwe Oo, head of the People’s Defense and Security Force in Myaung Township, over 10,000 civilians from 14 villages have been forced to flee due to the military council forces’ killings of civilians and continuous burning of villages along the border of Yesagyo Township in Magway Region and Myaung Township in Sagaing Region. On March 2, approximately 80 military council troops from Yesagyo town entered and raided Myaysone village while firing heavy weapons. On March 5, they raided Zarapni village and burned civilian homes. On March 7, they continued their destruction by burning Thakhaunglay village.
