Local residents have confirmed between 50 to 100 deaths in Myingyan town proper, with additional casualties reported in surrounding villages. According to the latest available data, the earthquake has claimed a total of 1,002 lives across all affected regions nationwide, with 2,376 people injured and 30 others reported missing.
