
A member of Pyu Saw Htee was killed during a clash with People’s Defense Forces near Kwin Chaung village in Kyoe Pin Kauk Township, Bago Region, according to Comrade Karen Lay, Commander of Battalion 3801, Company 1 of Thayarwaddy District. On May 24 at 9:20 AM, when approximately 30 soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members emerged from Kwin Chaung village in Kon Village tract, People’s Defense Forces were ready to engage them near the village. After the clash, one Pyu Saw Htee member was killed while the remaining forces retreated back into Kwin Chaung village.
The firefight lasted about 30 minutes. In the evening, three military vehicles from Kyoe Pin Kauk town retrieved the deceased’s body and reinforced their presence in Kwin Chaung village. The operation was jointly carried out by Dragon Brothers (Company 1, Battalion 3802) and Company 1 of Battalion 3801 from Thayarwaddy District. The People’s Defense Forces were able to withdraw without any casualties. On May 25, a combined force of approximately 80 Pyu Saw Htee members and reinforced soldiers from Kwin Chaung village launched another military column, suggesting the possibility of continued clashes.
Meanwhile, in Mandalay Region’s Kyaukpadaung Township, Bo Win, a Pyu Saw Htee member from Ye Sone village, was captured along with a firearm, as confirmed by a responsible person from the Magway Township People’s Defense Force. On May 22, when forces raided Bo Win’s house in Ye Sone village, Kyaukpadaung Township, they managed to capture him alive although other Pyu Saw Htee members who were present escaped. During the house search, they seized one FO-type rifle and 15 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.
The operation was carried out through collaboration between Magway Township People’s Defense Force, MLDC Column of Magway Region PDF, Natmauk Township People’s Defense Force, and Battalion 902 of Natmauk People’s Defense Army. Currently, Bo Win is under interrogation while efforts continue to apprehend the escaped Pyu Saw Htee members. The resistance forces have called on remaining Pyu Saw Htee members to surrender their weapons and join the revolution rather than aligning with the military council. All resistance forces involved in these operations were able to withdraw safely without any casualties.
