On April 12th evening, People’s Defense Forces conducted an attack on a military camp in Seikphyu town, Magway Region, resulting in one soldier’s death and two others injured. The Myingyan Black Tiger (MBT) resistance fighters launched a guerrilla-style close-range attack around 7:30 PM on the military outpost stationed at the Kapkyaw Monastery in Ward 8, Thukawati Quarter of Seikphyu town. The injured military personnel were taken to Seikphyu Public Hospital for medical treatment following the attack.
After the initial attack, as the resistance forces attempted to withdraw, military council troops conducted a three-sided blockade operation, leading to an hour-long exchange of fire between both sides. Despite the military’s attempts to trap them, the People’s Defense Force members successfully retreated without suffering any casualties, as confirmed by MBT force leader Major Mike Khe. The successful operation demonstrates the military capabilities and bravery of the People’s Defense Forces, who continue their resistance against the military council that has been committing violence against civilians. Sources indicate that revolutionary forces will maintain their offensive operations against the military regime that continues to oppress the people of Myanmar.
