A clash occurred between revolutionary forces and military council troops near Nyaung Gyat Pin Pyu Saw Htee village in Pakokku Township, Magway Region, resulting in one military soldier’s death and the capture of one Pyu Saw Htee member. The incident took place on April 24th in the evening when the military council troops and their allied Pyu Saw Htee members were searching for supplies outside their base. The revolutionary forces successfully intercepted the group without suffering any casualties and were able to withdraw safely after the engagement.
The confrontation began when resistance forces spotted approximately 13 military council personnel and Pyu Saw Htee members conducting a patrol while searching for supplies. Although the military council forces returned fire during the engagement, the revolutionary forces effectively responded to the situation. The operation was jointly carried out by Myaing PDF Battalion 2 Garuda People’s Defense Force and allied revolutionary groups. Following the battle, resistance forces urged remaining personnel in Pyu Saw Htee camps to defect to the people’s side rather than continue serving with the military council.
According to a spokesperson from the Myaing Garuda People’s Defense Force, the Pyu Saw Htee camps are currently experiencing severe food shortages and facing numerous difficulties. The resistance forces emphasized that instead of waiting to face starvation in these camps, members should consider seeking refuge with the public and cooperating with People’s Defense Forces. The successful operation demonstrated the continued effectiveness of coordinated actions between various revolutionary groups in the region, while highlighting the increasingly difficult conditions faced by military council-affiliated forces in the area.
