One member of the Pyu Saw Htee group was killed when military council forces launched artillery attacks on four Pyu Saw Htee villages in Pakokku Township, Magway Region. Between March 28-30, the military conducted attacks using rocket artillery against Shin Ma Kan Pyu Saw Htee village, Nyaung Gyi Pin village Pyu Saw Htee camp, West Ma Kyee Kan Pyu Saw Htee village, and Aung Tha Pyu Saw Htee village. Each village was targeted with three rounds of rocket artillery fire during the attacks.
Members of the Pyu Saw Htee group from West Ma Kyee Kan village were forced to flee to Aung Tha village during the artillery bombardment. While their camp was not captured, they had to evacuate due to the artillery attacks. Reports indicate that villagers have now returned to their homes and security forces have been reinforced in the area. The offensive was carried out as ‘Operation King No. 1’ through joint operations between the Ayeyarwaddy Dragon Force and Cobra One Pakokku units.
Meanwhile, fighting broke out on the Loikaw-Hsi Hseng road along the border of Karenni State and Southern Shan State when military council troops advanced in the area. According to a statement from the Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF) Strategic Command-2, four military council soldiers were killed in the clash. During the battle on March 29, resistance forces captured one weapon and inflicted additional casualties on military council troops. The Loikaw-Hsi Hseng road remains closed due to ongoing military tensions, and the KNDF has warned local civilians to remain extremely vigilant regarding their security in the area.
