U Nay Bun Lat, spokesperson for the National Unity Government (NUG), has announced that the government is currently conducting assessments and gathering recommendations to enhance its capabilities and increase representational participation through reforms. This announcement was made during today’s ‘Message to the Public and International Community Program 14/2025’.
The NUG welcomes constructive criticism and suggestions for reform, acknowledging that as the revolution approaches its fifth year, new circumstances and conditions have emerged that require adaptation. U Nay Bun Lat explained that the government understands the need to evolve into a more effective federal government that can address these changing circumstances. Currently, the government is collecting expert opinions from various sectors and preparing to adapt to the changes that have occurred since the People’s Spring Revolution began in 2021.
The structural organization of the NUG is also being reformed to improve operational efficiency, with ministries being reorganized based on six major sectors. Additionally, special emphasis is being placed on establishing federal unit administrative bodies at the state and regional levels. U Nay Bun Lat confirmed that the Acting President, Union Prime Minister, and all members of the National Unity Government fully understand and support these reform initiatives. The reforms aim to create a more streamlined and effective governance structure that can better serve the needs of the people and respond to the evolving situation on the ground.
