The National Unity Government’s Interim President Duwa Lashi La called for an immediate peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflicts between Chin revolutionary armed groups in Chin State on July 8. Since July 4, there have been continuous clashes and military tensions between various Chin revolutionary armed organizations including the Chin National Defense Force (CNDF), Chin National Front/Chin National Army (CNF/CNA), and Chinland Defense Force-Hualngoram.
The Interim President emphasized that the current period is crucial as the entire ethnic population is united in their resistance against the terrorist military council. He stressed that revolutionary organizations must build strong unity and mutual trust during this critical time. Duwa Lashi La expressed his belief that when conflicts and differences arise between revolutionary forces, they should be resolved through peaceful dialogue rather than armed confrontation, stating that only by maintaining this political culture can the revolution reach its ultimate goals.
The Interim President urged all involved Chin armed organizations to immediately cease attempting to resolve their differences through military means and instead seek solutions through peaceful political dialogue, which is what the Chin people desire. He further emphasized the importance of achieving peace among the revolutionary forces in Chin State as quickly as possible, building solid unity, and continuing to work for the benefit of both the Chin people and the broader revolutionary cause. The statement highlighted the critical need for maintaining focus on the common enemy – the military council – while resolving internal differences through peaceful means to ensure the success of the revolutionary movement.
