
The National Unity Government’s Interim President Duwa Lashi La, leading a delegation of government officials, visited NUG-controlled territories to meet with local civilians and revolutionary forces. The purpose of this trip was to closely observe and study the security, administration, and taxation systems in NUG-controlled areas, aiming to support the success of the revolution. The visit was intended to build trust, establish leadership connections, and implement systematic management through direct interaction with ground-level leaders and revolutionary forces.
During the visit, they met with revolutionary forces to understand and address the challenges and difficulties arising in the controlled territories. The delegation worked to boost revolutionary spirit and capabilities while conveying the message that the National Unity Government leadership stands united with the people on the ground. The tour included meetings with township and district-level public administration officials, people’s defense force leaders, commanders of the People’s Defense Force battalions, military region office personnel, local leaders, and religious figures.
Interim President Duwa Lashi La met with internally displaced persons (IDPs), listening to their challenges and offering words of encouragement. The delegation provided necessary assistance to the displaced populations. The delegation included Defense Minister U Yee Mon, Education and Health Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation Minister Dr. Tu Khaung, Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Kyaw Maung Lwin, Secretary to the State President U Bhone, Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration U Khun Ming, and Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation Naw Htee Khu. The Commander of Military Region No. 1 accompanied the entire trip and was specially tasked with ensuring the security of government officials throughout the journey.
