The National Unity Government’s (NUG) Defense Minister U Ye Mon has issued a warning about the importance of launching a coordinated nationwide general offensive. During an exclusive interview with PVTV News, he emphasized that synchronized operations between the People’s Defense Force and ethnic armed organizations are crucial for creating a revolutionary turning point. The minister stated that the general offensive is an essential operation that must be carried out across all regions of the country in a coordinated manner.
U Ye Mon explained that the People’s Defense Force has already been established and deployed throughout the country, while ethnic revolutionary organizations continue to engage in constant combat operations in their respective regions. He pointed out that the military junta has suffered two major losses: first, the collapse of military doctrine, where all revolutionary forces have unanimously rejected the military’s role in politics, including the rejection of the 2008 Constitution, the NCA, peace processes, and elections under the 2008 Constitution. The second major loss is the public’s complete disgust with the military, to the extent that people refer to them as ‘military dogs’ – a term that reflects the military’s inhuman actions.
The Defense Minister further elaborated that despite years of misappropriating state funds to build itself up, the military has proven ineffective even against civilian resistance that began with hunting rifles. He described the current military as a force with only appearance but no substance, having lost all moral and disciplinary standards. The military continues to bomb, burn, and coldly murder civilians daily, leading the public to firmly decide that they can no longer live under the rule of such an inhumane armed force. U Ye Mon emphasized that the people have made a resolute decision not to continue living under the control of this terrorist military that has completely lost its ethical and professional standards.
