MYANMAR- The National Unity Government (NUG)announced that there has been a false statement circulating on social media regarding Mr. Naing Htoo Aung, who served as a secretary at the Ministry of Defense.
The National Unity Government has issued a notice that the statement currently circulating is fake.
The Junta (lobby) propaganda telegram channel, People Media, has been spreading false information with a fake statement on U Kyaw Soe Oo’s account and NUG has informed the public that the statement is fake.
NUG Ministry of Defense’s (MOD) Secretary Mr. Naing Htoo Aung announced his resignation on his social media early in the morning of February 10.
“I have retired from all MOD-related duties. It does not mean I take a break from the revolution at all. I will continue to take part in the revolution. I am satisfied with my actions and will be taking full responsibility for the tasks and duties I took during my time. May our revolution successful!,” Secretary U Naing Htoo Aung informed the public.
