
A significant political dialogue among Myanmar revolutionary forces based in South Korea was held at the Bucheon City Office in Incheon on March 23. The event was organized by the National Unity Government’s Representative Office to the Republic of Korea, aiming to foster closer understanding and cooperation among various revolutionary forces. The dialogue brought together numerous pro-democracy organizations and resistance groups working towards Myanmar’s democratic transition.
During the conference, Union Minister Daw Zin Ma Aung of the National Unity Government delivered an opening speech via online platform, emphasizing the importance of building understanding among revolutionary forces and consolidating the voices of various organizations. She stressed the significance of political discourse and discussions in generating positive outcomes for the revolution. NUG representative U Yan Naing Tun also highlighted the critical need for unity in the current situation and warned about the importance of remaining vigilant against military council infiltration attempts.
The dialogue featured several important paper presentations and discussions. The Representative Office presented papers on the objectives, directions, and possibilities of major political forces, as well as on Myanmar’s current situation and its international relations and impacts. This was followed by presentations from various organizations including the NLD Overseas Committee Korea’s comparative analysis of the 2008 Constitution and federal system, the Myanmar Federal Democracy Movement Committee’s suggestions on Three Brotherhood issues, the Global Myanmar Spring Revolution Korea’s analysis of the military council’s Public Military Service Law and its impact on citizens abroad, and the Chin Youth Organization’s presentation on Chin State’s revolutionary journey during the four years of the Spring Revolution. The discussions and recommendations from this dialogue will be compiled as ‘2025 Political Dialogue Results’ and distributed to the NUG government and relevant organizations.
