The Mon State Federal Council (MSFC) and the People’s Revolutionary Alliance – Magway Region (PRA-Magway) have reached an agreement to oppose the military junta’s sham election and cooperate on political and military matters. On August 30, the Director of the Defense Department of the Mon State Federal Council and representatives met online with the Central Committee members of the People’s Revolutionary Alliance led by Chairman Comrade Nay Mon for their first meeting. During this meeting, they achieved significant mutual agreements on several key issues.
Neing Tala Neing, Director of the Defense Department of MSFC, revealed that they reached three main points of agreement. The first point is to jointly oppose the sham election planned by the terrorist military council. The second point involves mutual assistance between the two organizations in both military and political matters, while the third point focuses on cooperation in combat operations. He also mentioned that there are still many more action items to be implemented in the future based on these agreements. The discussion included a comprehensive analysis of Myanmar’s current political and military situation.
During the meeting, both parties discussed the current political and military situation in Myanmar, with particular emphasis on stopping the military council’s various forms of oppression against civilians and working together to eliminate the military dictatorship system completely. Both organizations agreed to fight together toward the goal of establishing a federal democratic union. Analysts note that this agreement represents a significant step in strengthening cooperation between revolutionary forces. The agreement particularly emphasizes their joint commitment to opposing the military council’s attempts to legitimize their rule through a fraudulent election, while also establishing a framework for mutual support in both political advocacy and military operations.
