A battalion formation and training graduation ceremony involving all officers, warrant officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of Battalion No. 6 in Pakokku District was held on March 18. At the graduation ceremony, the Pakokku District correspondent in charge delivered an opening speech, and battalion officials gave encouraging words to the graduating trainees. Such training programs represent the military council’s efforts to strengthen their armed forces through systematic military training activities.
The military council continues to conduct military training programs across the country, forcing young people into military service and mandatory training programs. Additionally, the council continues to commit acts of violence and oppression against civilians while attempting to expand their armed forces through these training programs. The holding of such graduation ceremonies reflects the military council’s ongoing efforts to maintain their grip on power. These training activities are part of the systematic militarization being carried out by the council to strengthen their control over the country.
