
The Shwechin Guerrilla Force has reported a successful attack on a military outpost stationed at Kokkai High School Branch in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, resulting in seven military casualties and the seizure of weapons and ammunition. The attack took place on September 2 at 9:15 AM. According to the statement released by the Shwechin Guerrilla Force, the operation was carried out in response to the military’s ongoing extortion, harassment, and abuse of local civilians and travelers in the area.
The attack was executed using pre-positioned mines, followed by direct combat that resulted in the elimination of seven military personnel. During the operation, the resistance forces seized significant military equipment including 6 MA-3 rifles, 20 ammunition magazines, 1 MA-5 rifle, one 60mm mortar, 904 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition, 5 rounds of 9mm ammunition, three 60mm mortar shells, 2 hand grenades, 5 military knives, 2 crossbows, and 1 screwdriver. Additional seized items included 149,200 kyats in cash, 7 mobile phones, 2 wristwatches, and various other military supplies.
The Shwechin Guerrilla Force Territory 1 has pledged to continue their operations against the military forces that have been oppressing civilians in the region. They have also advised local residents to maintain prepared bomb shelters and exercise extreme caution for their safety.
