Beginning around 5 AM on September 22, the military has been continuously firing heavy weapons at Lay Kay Kaw and Mae Htaw Tha Lay areas. Additionally, reports indicate that military columns have begun ground operations advancing into the Lay Kay Kaw region.
The military’s offensive operations are simultaneously advancing from three directions – the area known as Bo Yan Naing Hill (Eain Gyi Kon), the monastery area, and the cave area. Military experts confirm that more than 50 artillery shells have been fired since the morning. Around 9:40 AM, revolutionary forces began counter-attacks, leading to increased military tensions between the two sides. The situation has escalated into intense fighting, with Infantry Battalion 275 continuing to fire artillery.
The sound of the military’s artillery fire can be heard clearly as far as the Thai border town of Mae Sot, according to local residents. The fighting between the two forces continues, causing significant concern among local civilians. The military’s aggressive artillery attacks and ground operations have created a tense situation in the border area, with ongoing clashes between military forces and resistance groups showing no signs of diminishing. Local sources report that the situation remains volatile with the potential for further escalation of military confrontations in the area.
