
A military informant named Myint Shwe, who resided in Phalan Pin village in Htone Bo Township, Bago Region, was killed in an attack by Battalion 3802 Division 6 Black Dragon (GBK-PDF) of Thayarwaddy District on September 5 at around 6:30 PM. The informant was targeted for recruiting young people into the military through deception and challenging resistance forces. According to sources from the resistance group, Myint Shwe had been actively involved in selling young people to the military and had openly defied resistance groups in the area.
The deceased Myint Shwe was known for reporting resistance force movements to the military, openly challenging revolutionary groups by claiming he was not afraid of them, and forcibly recruiting young people into the military. As a result, Battalion 3802 Division 6 Black Dragon (GBK-PDF) of Thayarwaddy District carried out the military action as part of their operations against military collaborators. A spokesperson from the resistance group confirmed that the attack was conducted in response to Myint Shwe’s activities that harmed local civilians and the resistance movement.

The resistance group emphasized that such operations are necessary to protect civilians from the ongoing oppression by military informants and their associates.
