A military informant and Pyu Saw Htee member named Saw Hlaing was killed in Nattalin Township, Bago Region, following an attack by local resistance forces. The incident occurred on May 8 around noon in Kyun Lay Pin village, Nattalin Township. According to sources, the attack was carried out jointly by the Nat Sit Thone forces and the Burma Revolution Army (BRA), resulting in the immediate death of Saw Hlaing.
The deceased, Saw Hlaing, served as a key informant for the military council and was identified as one of their main supporters in the area. He was an active member of the Pyu Saw Htee group and had been reportedly involved in various acts of oppression against local civilians. Sources indicate that he had not been residing in Kyun Lay Pin village in recent days but had been moving around with military council troops. Local resistance officials confirmed that they received intelligence about his return to Kyun Lay Pin village, which prompted the coordinated attack by the two resistance groups.
A representative from the Nat Sit Thone forces stated that they will no longer issue warnings to military council supporters and will take direct action against them. The operation against Saw Hlaing was specifically planned after confirming his presence in the village. The resistance forces have also encouraged local residents to report any information about military council members and their associates. This incident marks a significant development in the ongoing conflict between resistance forces and military council supporters in the Nattalin Township area, demonstrating the increasing intensity of operations against military informants and collaborators.
