
A military informant named Myint Lwin, who had been gathering and reporting information about revolutionary forces to the military in Gyobingauk Township, Bago Region, died while attempting to escape from revolutionary forces’ detention. According to officials from Battalion 3802 Division 6 Black Dragon (GBK-PDF) of Thayarwady District, they captured the military informant Myint Lwin on March 8 around 8 AM while he was riding a motorcycle on the communication road between Alaykon village and Kyaswa Pagoda. During the arrest, they seized a mobile phone and a motorcycle from him.
During interrogation by revolutionary forces, Myint Lwin confessed to being a military informant. He was subsequently detained for further action, but around 4 AM on March 10, he attempted to escape while revolutionary forces were sleeping. When patrol guards discovered his escape attempt, they pursued him, leading to a shooting incident that resulted in Myint Lwin’s death.
The deceased informant Myint Lwin had been working as a school guard at Shwepantaw High School while secretly monitoring the movements of revolutionary forces and reporting to the military. He was known for providing false information to get civilians arrested, collaborating with the military to confiscate motorcycles from local residents, and serving as a member of the Pyusawhti group organized by the Alaykon police station. His activities included surveillance of revolutionary forces’ movements, providing intelligence to the military, facilitating civilian arrests through false reports, and participating in the confiscation of civilian property in cooperation with military forces.
